As a leader in robot-assisted surgery, one of our missions at the Robotic Surgery Center is to help teach the newest robotic techniques to surgeons around the world. Over the past decade, our robotic surgeons have produced a number of educational videos demonstrating the latest robot-assisted approaches to a variety of complex procedures—including several techniques pioneered here at NYU Langone Medical Center. To view them, click on the links below.
The videos, most of which are 7 to 8 minutes in length, were originally broadcast live to physician audiences. Since then, they have been distributed nationally and internationally as teaching tools. If you are a patient or a prospective patient, these videos will help you gain a better understanding of how a particular robot-assisted procedure is performed. We also invite our fellow surgeons to review them for insights into the specific robotic techniques employed by our surgical team.
