More than 25 research groups are united by the common goal of understanding the complex relationship between viral or bacterial pathogens and the host. Interests include the mechanisms of viral and bacterial pathogenesis, host defense, microbial and molecular genetics, oncogenesis, growth factor and cytokine actions and the regulation of gene expression.
