Current Research at NYU Medical Center

A new era of research began at NYU Medical Center with the opening of the Joan and Joel Smilow Research Center in 2006. This 13-story state-of-the-art building houses more than 40 multidisciplinary research teams dedicated to taking proven scientific advancements and implementing them in the clinical realm. This collaborative environment is key to ensuring that better ways of diagnosing, preventing, and treating disease reach patients as quickly as possible.
