The Comprehensive Epilepsy Service offers state of the art diagnostic evaluation in our new inpatient and outpatient facility. The Epilepsy Center, which is one of the largest in the country, is a leader in the development of new medical and surgical approaches to the treatment of epilepsy and seizures.

Research Projects:

• Principle investigator of the NYU site for the NIH multicenter study of epilepsy surgery outcome

• Collaborator with Patricia Broderick, PhD to study neurotransmitter concentrations in temporal lobe epilepsy using state of the art microelectrodes.

• Ongoing clinical studies on the electrophysiologic characteristics of partial seizures.
