Our researchers have developed a pedorthic CAD/CAM system, LastMaker and Pattern Maker, for VAMC application and use. The VA Pedorthic CAD/CAM System they developed, was recognized for its technical excellence with receipt of Microsoft Corporation Windows World Open Award for Best Health Care Software Application in 1998 developed using Microsoft products. The Pedorthic CAD/CAM System has been clinically tested by a representative group of VA orthotists/pedorthists to ensure it fulfills all VAMC clinical operational and performance requirements.
