The Bioinformatics Training Resource is an extensive annotated listing of bioinformatics courses and tutorials available on the Web.| New York University School of Medicine | NYU Health System |
| Academic Computing |
The mission of the Research Computing Resource (RCR) is to provide support for research scientists within the NYU Medical Center who require high performance computing resources, particularly in the area of molecular biology. The RCR maintains generally accessible and regularly updated sequence databases and programs for molecular biology computing.
Why use the RCR?
The RCR's Bioinformatics course (fomerly called "Using Computers for Molecular Biology") will next be offered in the Spring of 2004

Automated Database Searches
The RCR has re-created a service called DBWatcher which will automatically perform weekly BLAST searches for you, comparing any query sequences that you desire against new sequences in GenBank. It only takes a few moments to set up your own DBWatcher jobs on the DBWatcher web page.
