Our dedication to quality also occurs "behind the scenes." Our entire senior staff participates in routine, weekly internal audits of every patient's chart. In addition to the routine scrutiny we each give to each of our patient's charts, we routinely also check each other's charts to double-check the quality of the process. Everything important is checked, ranging from the continued accuracy of the recording of the daily doses to the measurement of each patient's weight within the past week.

We also routinely use our treatment machines to take pictures of the
position(s) of the radiation beam(s) used to treat each patient. These pictures are called beam films (a.k.a. portal films), and all such films are routinely reviewed by the entire senior staff on a daily basis to be sure that the treatment beams remain precisely aimed even if a patient experiences a subtle change in his or her anatomy.
