Expectations of Residents in the Nuclear Medicine Rotation
Residents receive instruction in the performance and interpretation of all nuclear procedures, ranging from routine to advanced applications, such as dual-headed SPECT, radio-labeled monoclonal antibody diagnosis and therapy, radioiodine therapy of thyroid disease, and nuclear cardiology. In addition to the clinical training, each resident performs a series of laboratory experiments, along with an individual tutorial designed to increase understanding of the basic physics germane to the field.
