The NYU-Bellevue Clinical Psychology Internship Program accepts applications from advanced students enrolled in APA-approved doctoral programs in psychology. To qualify for consideration, applicants who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States must submit copies of appropriate paperwork documenting eligibility to be employed in the US for the duration of the internship year (July 1 to June 30). Visa status must allow for direct patient contact. NYU-Bellevue is unable to sponsor visas for foreign nationals.
Applicants must complete the APPIC Application for Psychology Internship (AAPI), which can be downloaded from the APPIC website: www.appic.org. The application deadline is November 1st, for consideration for admission on July 1st of the following year. The application consists of the following documents:
- A cover letter clearly indicating to which of the following four tracks you are applying: General Track, Child and Adolescent Track, Cross-Cultural Track, or Forensic Track. (Please note: each applicant may apply to one track only)
- An AAPI
- A current curriculum vitae
- Official copies of all graduate school transcripts
- Three letters of recommendation from faculty and/or supervisors familiar with your clinical work, submitted in sealed envelopes signed across the back
All application materials should be compiled by the applicant and submitted in one envelope. Applications should be mailed or hand-delivered to:

The NYU-Bellevue Clinical Psychology Internship Program requires on-site interviews. Applicants will be notified of interview status by December 15. Interviews are conducted between late November and early January. Applicants invited to interview are asked to bring one wallet-size photo.
The NYU-Bellevue Clinical Psychology Internship Program agrees to abide by the APPIC policy that no person at this training facility will solicit, accept, or use any ranking-related information from any intern applicant.
