Pindolol: Structure
Pindolol is a synthetic b-adrenergic blocking agent with intrinsic sympathomimetic activity.
The chemical name for pindolol is 4 (2-hydroxy-3-isopropylamino-propoxy)-indole.
The similarities between the molecular structures of pindolol and serotonin are highlighted in this slide.
