Research programs associated with the Department of Psychiatry include the
William and Sylvia Silberstein Aging and Dementia Research Center and the
Laboratory on the Molecular Basis of Opiate Actions in the Millhauser Laboratories;
the Brain Research Laboratory and the Dual Diagnosis and Addictions Program
at Bellevue; the Mental Health and Addictive Disorders Research Program and
the NIDA/VA Medications Development Research Unit at the VA; the Institute
for Children at Risk and the Institute for Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity
and Related Disorders at the NYU Child Study Center; and the Center for Advanced
Brain Imaging, the Analytical Psychopharmacology Laboratory, the Center for
the Study of Issues in Public Mental Health, the Statistical and Epidemiological
Sciences Division at the Nathan S. Kline Institute and the NYU Behavorial
Health Research Program. These are a few of the Department's many active research
