For the past several years NYU Psychoanalytic Institute and NY Psychoanalytic Institute have co-organized this interdiscplinary colloquium. The meetings take place either uptown at the NY Psychoanalytic Institute or downtown at the NYU English Department, where the colloquium originated. Interdisciplinary papers on varied subjects ranging from biography, art history, literature, music and film are presented by scholars from many disciplines.
