This committee has two major functions. One is to screen prospective new faculty members from outside our institute. Such individuals may either approach us for consideration or be recommended by a faculty member or candidate. The other purpose is to assist the Curriculum, Executive, and Education Committees in searching for teachers with areas of expertise which are not currently represented by our faculty. The Faculty Search Committee does not select new faculty members. Rather, it provides a systematic way of evaluating potential faculty members, and then makes recommendations to the Executive, Education and Curriculum Committees. Committee members are selected to represent a range of intellectual and clinical perspectives and institute programs. Recommendations for potential faculty are welcome.
