Through deep engagement with patients, psychoanalysts understand depression in the context of how patients are living their lives of relationships and work. We will discuss the application of the theory and practice of psychoanalytic principles to the treatment of depression. Barry Rand, MD is a member of the IPE faculty and Chair of the Fellowship Program.

Participants are invited to stay for lunch to hear a brief overview of IPE's training and education programs, with an opportunity for discussion with program chairs and current participants.
