Summary
In this paper, the author focuses on the enduring quality of adolescence
and its impact throughout the life cycle.
Illustrating his presentation with clinical and literary examples,
he describes the various stages of adolescence and their effect
on character development and symptom formation in adult life. He
also comments on the value in analysis of recovering the full range
of adolescent experiences, including the often overlooked early
adolescent years.
