Howard Rudominer, M.D.
The objective of this course is to study the termination of the psychoanalytic collaborations, and while we will orient ourselves with some selections from the literature, our emphasis will be on clinical material. To this end we will take advantage of the audio tape recordings of psychoanalysis selected from the tape library of the Psychoanalytic Research Consortium.
For our first meeting on December 2nd, please read the following:
*Firestein, S.K. (1982). Termination of Psychoanalysis: Theoretical, Clinical, and Pedagogic Considerations. Psychoanalytic Inquiry 2, 473-497.
[This essay should be accessible in the PEP CD-ROM.]
Please arrange to obtain a copy of the following soft-cover volume:
Firestein, S.K. (2001). Termination in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. New York, International Universities Press, Revised Edition.
[We will read various items in this volume. It should be readily available through Amazon or directly from the publisher in Madison, CT. (203-245-0775)]
