Dr. Marcel Laufer is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the NYU School of Medicine and is a gastroenterologist at The Miller Practice and The Trinity Center, at NYU Langone Medical Center.
Board certified in Gastroenterology, Dr. Laufer is highly experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of gastrointestinal diseases, and is specially trained in performing gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures, such as colonoscopy and upper endoscopy. Dr. Laufer specializes in colonoscopy screening for colon cancer as well as the diagnosis and treatment of abdominal symptoms and conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and peptic ulcer disease (PUD).
Dr. Laufer is a member of the American College of Physicians and American Gastroenterological Association.
Dr. Laufer received his medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine. He served his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Gastroenterology at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York.
