Clinical Responsibilities

Dr. Bernstein is a Board Certified Colon and Rectal Surgeon whose practice is solely dedicated to the treatment of patients with benign and malignant conditions of the colon, rectum and anus. Specifically, Dr. Bernstein has an expertise in treating patients with colon and rectal cancer, diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease and anorectal conditions such as hemorrhoids, fissures and fistulas. As the Director of a state of the art physiology lab and pelvic floor center, Dr. Bernstein has gained additional expertise in treating functional bowel disorders such as fecal incontinence, constipation and rectal prolapse.
