At NYU Langone Medical Center, we are dedicated to providing patients with the services they need to effectively communicate their healthcare needs.
For families who prefer to communicate about their healthcare in a language other than English, we provide professional medical interpreters free of charge. Interpreters can help you and your family during all phases of your care.
We provide face-to-face interpreters, as well as telephonic and video remote interpreting.
If you would like an interpreter, please tell a member of your healthcare team. If you have additional questions about our services, you can call 212-263-3762.
For the convenience of our patients, we have translated key medical forms and patient health education materials into several languages. Please ask your healthcare provider if the forms or education materials are available in your preferred language.
If there is other written information you receive that you would like in your preferred language, please tell your healthcare provider and we may be able to translate it or have an interpreter work with you.
In addition, if you need important documents, such as medical records, translated into English from another language, we may be able to have them translated for you. Please speak with a member of your healthcare team for more information.
