Outline of Residency Program
PM&R at Rusk is a diverse experience in which residents learn about the many different topics that make up the field. Residents will start their training in their PGY2 year rotating through Rusk and Bellevue. At the former, they will spend time on the various inpatient units, including: Stroke, Medically Complex, Pediatrics, Cardiac, and Musculoskeletal. At Bellevue, they will split their time between outpatient clinic and inpatient responsibilities. They will also be able to start gaining exposure to EMGs. All rotations are 2 months, and two of the Rusk rotations (cardiac and peds) are divided between inpatient and outpatient time. The number of calls depends on the location.

Dr. Howard Rusk goes over the plans for the building of the original Rusk Institute.
To apply for the NYU PM&R program, students must fill out the appropriate match forms. Click here for more information on the National Resident Match Program (NRMP) and how to apply.
