Disability Education
One of the most prominent ways the NYU Department of PM&R has an effect on disability education is through the Disability Council. Our department was one of the first to initiate this campus-wide program. The objective of the Council's activities for the next two years will be to identify priorities and potential partnerships for research on issues that will address the concerns of people with disabilities in New York City, nationally and internationally. These activities will also inform the teaching in relevant programs and cources, increase disability awareness at NYU, and expand faculty participation in the Council.
