Interventional and Electrodiagnosis opportunities

Some of the many opportunities for 2009 - 2010 include:

a) Musculoskeletal Cadaver Course with Anatomy Department, January - April 2010

b) Spasticity Seminar and Injection Workshop, December 5, 2009 featuring Gerard Francisco, MD, Steven Flanagan, MD and Victoria Zhang, MD.
Topics included:
Contemporary Management of Focal Spastic Hypertonia
Applications of Botulinum Toxin Therapy in Physiatric Practice
Neurolytic Procedures: Clinical Pearls
Advanced Chemodenervation Injection Techniques Workshop
(including anatomy review and injection demonstration)

c) Sports Medicine rounds
Dr. Varlotta meets residents every other week to conduct intensive reviews of sports medicine topics with imaging. Food is served.

d) HJD pain month
Residents rotating through HJD participate in interventional pain medicine for 1/3 of the rotation block.

                      1:00 – 5:00 pm             Spine procedures as scheduled w/ Dr. Gharibo 10th Floor
Thursday:      8:30 – 5:00 pm              Diabetic Foot & Ankle Clinic w/ Dr. Oh-Park: 10th Floor
Friday:         12:00 – 1:00 pm             RIRM Journal Club/EMG Conference (HJD students should attend)
                     1:00  – 4:00 pm             PM&R Clinic: 5th Floor, 5W: w/ various attendings
