Brain Injury Medicine Fellowship
The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine offers a one year ACGME accredited brain injury medicine fellowship program. The incumbent will receive training in brain injury medicine on the inpatient units at the Hospital for Joint Diseases and at the renowned Bellevue Hospital Center and outpatient services at the state-of-the art Ambulatory Care Center as well as Bellevue Hospital Center. He or she will also have an opportunity to experience the interdisciplinary focus of brain injury rehabilitation with other disciplines within rehabilitation medicine (eg. physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology) as well as receive exposure to neurosurgery, neuro-optometry and neurology.
The fellow participates in journal clubs, concussion conferences, board relevant brain injury lectures and teach residents and medical students.
Candidates for the brain injury medicine fellowship must submit an application and the requested admissions materials outlined in the document for consideration. Sports Medicine Fellowship
The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine offers a one year ACGME accredited sports medicine fellowship program. The incumbent will receive training in PM&R musculoskeletal medicine, sports medicine, orthopedic sports medicine and at the orthopedic urgent care center. The interdisciplinary approach will also enable the fellow to serve as a primary sports medicine physician for a college under the supervision of sports medicine faculty.
The fellow receives a comprehensive array of organized journal clubs, concussion conferences, sports medicine lecture series and participate in a comprehensive ultrasound teaching system.
The sports medicine fellowship program participates in the match. Candidates must submit their applications through ERAS. Candidates who are selected for interviews will be contacted.
