NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, ranked in the top 10 Orthopedic Hospitals nationwide, has a distinguished tradition of medical innovation. Physiatry residents and attendings work closely with the Departments of Orthopedics, Neurology, and Rheumatology in the care of patients with musculoskeletal disorders. A large inpatient unit and active outpatient clinics comprise one of the primary educational environments of the NYU PM&R Residency. Physiatry residents have an opportunity to utilize the specialty facilities at HJD including multiple surgical suites for interventional procedures; clinics at the hospital specialize in developmental disorders.
