Dr. Musacchio received his M.D. degree from the National University of La Plata, Argentina, 1956
PostDoctoral Training
Dr. Musacchio received additional training in neuropharmacology at NYU Medical School (1961-1963) and at the National Institute of Mental Health, in the Laboratory of Clinical Science 1963-1965
Residency Training
Dr. Musacchio was trained for a year in psychiatry in St. Louis, MO, and for two years in Neurology at Bellevue Hospital, where he was Chief Resident

Other Responsibilities
Dr. Musacchio retired in 1999, but he is active with editorial work and writing. He has been a member of the Department of Pharmacology since 1965. He has been actively involved in research and in teaching of medical and graduated students. Dr. Musacchio was supported by a Career Development Award, a Scientist Award from NIMH and several research grants from the NIH.
