The clinic meets twice a week in Bellevue Hospital and follows approximately 250 children with chronic hepatitis B infection and 30 children with chronic hepatitis C infection.

The clinic is a referral center for viral hepatitis infections in children and is the principal referral center for the NYC Pediatric Viral Hepatitis Network, a consortium of health facilities that is funded by the NY City Council. Approximately 100 new referrals are seen each year. It is staffed by one Pediatric Infectious Diseases attending (Dr. Pollack) and one subspecialty resident, a general pediatrician, a physician's assistant and a translator.

Patients without insurance may also receive screening, vaccination and follow-up treatment through the Asian American Hepatitis B Project.
