Division of Pediatric Nephrology

Experts in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at NYU Langone Health treat children and adolescents who have kidney disease or injury, hypertension, urinary tract infections or anomalies, and hereditary renal disorders. Pediatric nephrologists work with nurses, social workers, nutritionists, and child life specialists to provide clinical care at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital—34th Street, Fink Children’s Ambulatory Care Center, and NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue. Division members also provide oversight for patients with congenital heart conditions that affect the kidneys at the Congenital Cardiovascular Care Unit.

Faculty in the division train medical students and residents to diagnose and treat children and adolescents with kidney disease or injury. Division investigators perform research to advance the understanding of and treatments for kidney disease and to develop precision medicine treatments for glomerular disease. The division collaborates with investigators in other divisions at NYU Langone and partners with the pharmaceutical industry to develop new treatments and increase the understanding of pediatric nephrology.
