About Us

The Center for Pediatric Emergency Medicine (CPEM) was established in 1985 at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City.

Our goal is to improve emergency medical services for children in the United States through education, research, and systems development.

We are very grateful for the funding provided by the US Department of Health and Human Services through its Maternal and Child Health Bureau, EMSC Program, as well as the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

With their support, we are making great strides in helping others save the lives of children.
