Greetings residents from 84-87. We hope you can come back and visit. I just came back to stay, working as a child abuse pediatrician with Peggy McHugh and Lori Legano.

Please stop by and visit the department and you will always receive a warm welcome. And just about everyone from our time is still here!

I am working as attending pediatric interventional cardiologist at the Children's Heart Center, Children's Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.

Fangming Lin, M.D., Ph.D.
I did my pediatric residency at NYU between 1995-1998 before I went to Seattle Children for nephrology fellowship training. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.

Maddie Yue Hao M.D.
I am still working at South Cove Community Health Center Quincy site which is less than 10 miles from downtown Boston. Our practice is growing. We will move in a new building next month. With increased Chinese population in town, my Chinese is highly desired.

Personally, I have two kids one girl and on boy, they teach me to become a better pediatrician and keep me very busy. I am very thankful for the training that I got from NYU. Wish to see everyone soon.

Marcella Aquino M.D.
I am currently in allergy fellowship in Newark at UM.D.NJ. I am going into second year in July. I just had a baby boy (Lucas) last month. Say hello to everyone at NYU.

Paul Pelavin M.D.
I've been doing well as a 2nd-year Peds Endo fellow at New York-Presbyterian Hospital (Cornell campus). I spent a year doing lab research, and now I'm busy in the clinic. As it turns out, I prefer the clinical work over the lab work, and I am looking for a position as a clinician-educator in the NYC area after I finish my fellowship in 2008. Personally, I'm still living on the Upper West Side with my wife, Rachel Kahn-Troster, who is a now a 4th-year rabbinical student at the Jewish Theological Seminary.

Michael Shishov, M.D. M.P.H.
I am section chief of pediatric rheumatology at Phoenix Children's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona since 9/06. I am the only pediatric rheumatologist in the state of Arizona and am in the process of building a new division, including hiring a nurse, pediatric nurse practitioner, and recruiting additional faculty.

I performed my subspecialty training in pediatric rheumatology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center from 2003-2006. I also received an MPH, concentration in Clinical Effectiveness, from the Harvard School of Public Health, in 2006, after participating for 3 summers in their summer program while completing my fellowship.

Maria Lyn Quintos M.D.
I'm married so now, I am Maria Lyn Quintos-Alagheb. I finished my PICU training 6 years ago at The Los Angeles Children's Hospital and I am back in Long Island. I am currently I am working as Associate Director for the PICU at Winthrop University Hospital.

I married my husband Jeff right after finishing my chief year and moved to Massachusetts, just 15 miles west of Boston. I have been with a wonderful group of physicians in Acton, Massachusetts, since I moved here. We have 9 pediatricians ranging from 34 years experience to 1 year post residency (I am nowright in the middle...it's hard to believe!), and there are 13 internists.

Jeff and I have recently bought a new home, and moved toSudbury. Jeff and I have 2 boys, aged 3 and 4 (they are 14 months apart). They are wonderful boys, active of course, and they are best friends.

Jeff (who has been a pilot for almost 20 years) bought a small 4 seater Grumman airplane 2 days before we were married. We use the plane often, flying out of a small local airport; this is how we travel to come "home" to NJ (Tenafly is where my parents and sister still live) to visit family, as well as taking longer family vacation trips.

Christopher Killion M.D.
I worked there for a couple years and then reapplied to Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship and now I am in Akron, OH as a first year PEM fellow. Definitely enjoying it but certainly missing NYC.

Anna Brown M.D.
Fellowship is going well. I'm primarily doing research this year. I've actually decided to do an Anesthesiology residency and Peds Anesthesia fellowship, so I'm starting in July. Before your jaw drops, it's a combined program, so I'll only do 2 years of Anesthesia residency and then a final year for the Peds Anes fellowship and to finish the last of my Peds Critical Care fellowship.

Selim Corbacioglu M.D.
Greetings from Ulm. I am presently an Assistant Professor, Department of Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplantation, University Children’s Hospital Ulm, Germany. After leaving NYU in 1997, I completed my fellowship in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. I then worked at the University Children’s Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland before moving back to Germany in 2002.

Cena Tejani M.D.
I am currently working at Brooklyn Hospital as a pediatric hospitalist. Most of my work is in pediatric emergency room, but I also cover a small PICU on some evenings. I have been at my current position for almost a year and am enjoying the work. As it is shift work I also am able to spend a lot of time at home with my 2 children who are now 10 and 2 years old.

Ami Mehta M.D.
Since graduating from residency, I have joined a practice in Livingston, NJ (we have an office in Morristown as well, but I mostly work out of the Livingston office), and it has been a very good experience so far. My husband and I are also expecting our first child this June!

Looking back on residency, I think the experience at NYU really prepares you well for life outside of residency (especially our inpatient experience).

Asha Mandava M.D.
