Dear Applicant:
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join the New York
University School of Medicine Primary Care and Public Health Scholars
Program. This program gives you the unique opportunity to collaborate
with colleagues, faculty, and mentors who share similar interests
and values in primary care, public health, community medicine, and
health and human rights. In choosing to apply, you agree to remain
in good academic standing and produce a scholarly project fit for
possible publication upon graduation from NYUSOM.
You will be assigned to a mentoring group with a NYUSOM faculty
member dedicated to primary care and public health. Over the course
of your medical education, as your focus narrows, you will be matched
with an additional mentor who will assist you in project specific
research.
Seminars, pertinent to conducting scholarly work, will begin in
April. These seminars will culminate in a two-week community research
methods course in June.
Please contact Regina Richter at (212) 263-2126 or by email at
regina.richter@med.nyu.edu if you have any questions, comments or
concerns. We look forward to working with you in the future.
Warmest Regards,
