Description: The Department of Pathology at the NYU School of Medicine offers an outstanding opportunity for a one-year fellowship in Uropathology. The training program offers exposure to a high volume of interesting and challenging diagnostic material in Uropathology with the opportunity to participate in translational research activities offered through active research programs in prostate and bladder cancer.
Facilities: The fellowship offers exposure to material from Tisch Hospital, a 500-bed primary teaching hospital of NYU School of Medicine, as well as from Bellevue and the New York Harbor VA Hospital. The Uropathology division includes four Uropathologists with surgical material provided by a specialized Urology service with an established Uro-oncology service. In addition, a Biorepository in Prostate Cancer and a Urology Center of Research Excellence provide for a suitable environment for translational research.
Requirements: Applicants must have completed a three-year training program in Anatomic Pathology or a four-year program in combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and must hold a NY State License.
Stipends: Commensurate with candidate’s level of training.
