Florence Bodeau-Livinec is an associate research scientist in the Day lab, which she
joined in 2007. She is working on the epidemiology of preterm and
low-birth-weight birth outcomes both in developed and developing countries in a
context of malaria. She is leading the Advanced Epidemiology course in the
Masters of Global Public Health. |

Donald
Chen is an Instructor and an Infectious Disease
Fellow at NYU School of Medicine. He is currently pursuing a
research project in Dr Day's lab related to var gene diversity
and severe disease in malaria. |

Aleksandra
Leliwa-Sytek is the lab manager for the Day lab,
in addition to culturing Plasmodium falciparum. She
moved from Oxford University to New York with the lab. |

Marian Nyako has been a postdoctoral fellow in the Day lab since July 2007. She is interested in understanding how Plasmodium population density is regulated in the host. |

Jamie
Orengo began a joint appointment between the Rodriguez
and Day labs in May 2006. Her work focuses on Plasmodium induced modulations of the host's immune response. |

Caira
Woods is is a second year doctoral student who joined the group in
May 2006. She is being trained in parasitic epidemiology, focused
on global host genetic resistance to malaria. She received her
B.S. with high honors from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. |
