del Pilar Molina-Portela is a Senior Research Associate
in Jayne Rapers lab. Pilar graduated from the University of
Buenos Aires, Argentina.
At NYU she is studying the mechanism of action of trypanosome
lytic factor and the unique ability of baboon lytic factors
to kill human infective African trypanosomes. |

Vinh
Philip Pham MDPhD, has been a post-doctoral fellow
in Jayne Rapers lab since October 2003. Vinh graduated from
NYU School of Medicine in 2004 as an infectious disease fellow.
Currently, he is the recipient of an NIH postdoctoral fellowship.
At NYU he is studying the lipid homeostasis of African trypanosomes. |

Marie
Samanovic has been a graduate student in Jayne
Raper's lab since May 2006. Marie studied Biochemistry and Infectious
Diseases at the Paris 7 and
6 Universities where she received a Masters degree in 2004.
At NYU she is studying the novel antiparasite activity of trypanosome
lytic factor (TLF), an innate immune factor of normal human
serum. |

Russell
Thomson has been a graduate student in Jayne Raper’s
lab since September 2005. Russell studied biochemistry at the
University of Bath, England where he received a Masters in Biochemistry
in 2004. At NYU he is studying the novel antimicrobial activity
of trypanosome lytic factor, an innate immune factor of normal
human serum. |
