Dr. Christine Anzieu-Premmereur presented “Traumatized mother, sleepless baby: Mother- infant psychotherapy with an 18 month-old boy” at the Parent-Infant Psychotherapy International Study Day of the Anna Freud Center in London on November 3, 2005. Dr. Anna Burton gave the Annual Freud Lecture of the New Jersey Psychoanalytic Society speaking on "Genders and Bodies” on May 12, 2005. Dr. Anna Burton presented "A Psychoanalytic View of Johannes Brahms" to the Works in Progress Study Group of the New York Psychoanalytic Institute, on May 18, 2005. Dr. Rita Clark presented "Self Care for the Psychoanalyst—A Neglected Aspect of Ethics" at the Maimonides Medical Center September 12, 2005. Dr. Stephen Firestein participated in a
clinical workshop on aspects of termination of analysis with the Austin
Society of Psychoanalytic Dr. Alberto Goldwaser was co-organizer and
co-chair of the Scientific Program Committee of the First Latin-American
Forensic Psychiatric Meeting August 16-17, 2005 where he presented:
"Clinical, Ethical, and Legal Aspects of Being a Psychiatric Expert
Witness in Dr. Donald Moss presented "Issues of Representation in Contemporary Art” on a panel sponsored by the Dallas Museum of Art in Dallas in March, 2005. Dr. Donald Moss presented "On Some Determinants of an Outburst of Racist Sentiment in a Psychoanalytic Treatment," at a panel entitled “Racial, Cultural and Ethnic Trauma in the Consulting Room” at the International Psychoana-lytic Association meeting in July, 2005. Dr. Arnold Richards spoke on “The Creation and Transmission of Psychoan-alytic Knowledge” at the scientific meeting of the National Psychological Association for Psychoanal-ysis on May 13, 2005. Dr. Jacqueline Schachter presented a case at the two-day IPTAR conference on “The Developmental Theories of Freud and Klein” on October 16, 2005. Dr. Leonard Shengold presented three papers
to the Cleveland Psychoanalytic Institute members and candidates on
the weekend beginning October 7, 2005: "The Promise in Patients
and in Ibsen's Dr. Stephen Snyder presented “Therapeutic Dilemmas in Patients with Co-Morbid Sexual Dysfunction and Sexual Impulse Control Disorders” at the Fall Clinical Meeting of the Society for Sex Therapy and Research, New York City, Sept 16, 2005.
Dr. Janice Lieberman has been appointed Co-Chair for North America of the International Psychoanalytic Association Public Informa-tion Committee. Dr. Joseph Reppen is now President of the Academy of Psychoanalysis of the American Board of Professional Psychology. Dr. Jennifer Stuart was elected to the board of the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association in June, 2005 for a three year term, beginning January 2006. Dr. Jack Pelaccio was appointed by the American Psychoanalytic Association's Board of Professional Standards to the Committee on Child and Adolescent Analysis. |
