Dr. Anne Erreich was appointed to the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association with her term beginning in January, 2005.

Speakers

Dr. Rita Clark presented workshops on ethics at the Cleveland Psychoanalytic Institute November 19-21, 2004.

Dr. Michael Garrett presented "The Dynamic Meaning of Delusions in Schizophrenia" for the Psychiatric Grand Rounds at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Brooklyn on October 8, 2004.

Dr. Arnold Richards presented "The History of Membership
and Certification: Old Demons New Debates" co-authored with Dr. Paul Mosher at the Long Island Psychoanalytic Society on Oct 11, 2004.

Dr. Arnold Rothstein was a member of the panel, "The Concept of Analyzability: Is It Still Viable?" sponsored by IPTAR at the New York Academy of Medicine on November 19, 2004.

Dr. Jacqueline Schachter presented a psychoanalytic case for discussion by Irena Brennan Pick at the "Cure in Psychoanalysis" conference of the British Psychoanalytic Society in London in October, 2004.

Dr. Lynne Zeavin presented "On the Bad Object" at a conference of the British Psycho-analytic Society in June, 2004.

Dr. Morris Eagle was awarded honorary membership in the American Psychoanalytic Association at its Annual Meeting in January.

Dr. Rajiv Gulati was graduated from the Adult Psychoanalytic Program of the NYU Psychoanalytic Institute.

Dr. Marina Mirkin was graduated from the Adult Psychoanalytic Program of the NYU Psychoanalytic Institute.

Kerry Kelly Novick accepted the American Psychoanalytic Association's first Child and Family Community Service Award on behalf of Allen Creek Preschool.

Dr. Arnold D. Richards was presented a Distinguished Contributor Award from the American Psychoanalytic Association.

Dr. Svetlana Starkman was graduated from the Adult Psychoanalytic Program of the NYU Psychoanalytic Institute on December 9, 2003.

We also want to mention here that Dr. Leonard Shengold's paper, "A brief psychoanalytic note on Wordsworth, poetic creativity, and love", was published in The American Poetry Review, perhaps a first for a psychoanalytic paper.

Dr. Jonathan Cohen gave the Keynote Address entitled, "Social Emotional Education: Theory, Research and Practice" at the Comprehensive Health Education Foundation, Annual National Prevention Symposium in San Francisco on July 18, 2003.

Dr. Jonathan Cohen gave the Keynote Address entitled, "Your Child's Emotional Life: Nurturing Wellbeing in a Complex World" at The Parents League at the 92 Street Y on October 9, 2003.

Dr. Alberto M. Goldwaser presented "The Scientific Alliance between Forensics and Psychiatry" at the Psychiatric Grand Rounds at the Barnert Hospital, Paterson, New Jersey on February 6, 2003.
Dr. Alberto M. Goldwaser was the Guest Lecturer at Seton Hall University Law School course on Mental Health Law on April 8 and September 30, 2003.

Nasir Ilahi was the presenter entitled "Scorched Earth Retreats: Notes from the Analysis of a Schizoid Man" at the New York Freudian Society on January 20.


Dr. William Jeffrey discussed the film, "Chinatown", "The Private Eye and the Primal Father" at the Forum for the Psychoanalytic Study of Film at Maimonides Medical Center in December.

Dr Stephen Snyder was Co-Director of a post-graduate course, "Male Sexual Medicine: Today and Tomorrow," at NYU School of Medicine, December 6, 2003, and spoke on "Premature and Delayed Ejaculation."

Dr Stephen Snyder spoke on "Male sexual psychology and the assessment and treatment of erectile dysfunction," for the Medical Grand Rounds, Providence Hospital, Anchorage, Alaska, on October 31, 2002.
