Dr. Zou is Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at New York University School of Medicine. He is an attending physician in the NYU Pain Management Center as well as Medical Director of the Pain Management Center for Bellevue Hospital Center and Gouverneur Hospital.
Dr. Zou obtained his M.D. degree from Hunan Medical University, People's Republic of China in 1986. He completed his anesthesiology residency, followed by a Pain Management Fellowship at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School in 1999. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) and is certified in the subspecialty of pain management from the ABA. His areas of clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic pain syndromes using conservative as well as interventional pain treatment modalities, including spinal injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency lesioning, and implantable drug delivery systems and spinal cord stimulators. Dr. Zou is a member of the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, American Pain Society, American Society of Anesthesiology, and American Medical Association.
