Occupational and Industrial Orthopedic Center (OIOC)

Members of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Department of Orthopaedic Surgery serve as part of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, engineers, epidemiologists, ergonomists, and basic scientists who staff the Occupational and Industrial Orthopedic Center (OIOC).

Together they serve industry and the work force with clinical, educational, research, and consulting services in the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and disorders, including cumulative trauma disorders, low back pain, lower extremity pain and musculoskeletal disorders in general that arise from work or from the work environment.
