Jessie PierreRoy I. Davidovitch MD(Director) Dr. Davidovitch received his subspecialty training in the field of trauma and hip & pelvis reconstruction at Harvard Medical School. His interests include young adults with hip arthritis, prevention of hip arthritis, acetabulum (hip socket) fractures, pelvis fractures,hip fracture non-unions and avascular necrosis (AVN) of the hip. He performs minimally invasive (MIS) hip replacements including the Anterior Total Hip Replacement (A-THR), femoral-acetabular impingement (FAI) surgery, repair of hip fracture non-unions and fixation of acetabulum and pelvis fractures.

Jessie PierreJames D. Slover MD, MS(Co-Director) Dr. Slover completed the Harvard Medical School Harris Hip Fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital after completing his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. His interests include the young adult with hip arthritis, hip dysplasia in the young adult, avascular necrosis of the hip, and the treatment of pre-arthritic conditions of the hip such as femoral-acetabular impingement (FAI). He performs hip resurfacings, minimally invasive hip replacements, post traumatic hip replacements as well as revision total hip surgery.

Jessie PierreDavid S. Feldman MD Dr. Feldman is the Chief of Pediatric Orthopaedics at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and brings to the New York Hip Center his extensive experience in the treatment of pediatric and congenital hip disorders.  Dr. Feldman treats patients from infancy through young adulthood and performs a variety of hip joint preserving procedures including the Ganz Bernese Periacetabular Osteotomy and other complex hip and pelvis reconstructive procedures. He has developed a Hip Distractor for the early treatment of avascular necrosis of the hip.

Jessie PierreRobert J. Mesilin MD Dr. Meislin is a sports medicine fellowship trained and has recently completed a CAQ in Orthopedic Sports Medicine. His practice focuses on arthroscopic techniques specific to the knee, shoulder, and elbow and has a keen interest in hip arthroscopy. Dr. Meislin performs a variety of hip arthroscopic techniques that include labral debridement and repair, synovectomy, articular cartilage procedures, removal of loose bodies, and arthroscopic surgery directed towards femoral acetabular impingement (FAI).

 

Jessie PierreKenneth A. Egol MD Dr. Egol is Chief of Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery and Vice Chair of Education for the residency program at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. His interests are acetabulum (hip socket) and pelvis fracture fixation, the repair of hip fracture non-unions, post-traumatic hip reconstruction and total hip replacements. In addition to his responsibilities in the Department's education program, Dr. Egol is committed to orthopaedic research and is extensively published in the field of hip trauma. He is a nationally recognized leader in the treatment of adult traumatic injuries.

George Nomikos MD Dr. Nomikos is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. Dr. Nomikos completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington DC. He has a special interest in the imaging of hip disorders, including emerging techniques for the diagnosis of femoral acetabular impingement (FAI). Dr. Nomikos is experienced in both diagnostic and theraputic radiologic procedures including MR arthrography, theraputic hip injections, bone and soft tissue biopsies, and radiofrequency ablation.
