Located in White Plains, NY, the Westchester Faculty Practice was established in 2008 by the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Department of Orthopaedic Surgery to provide world-class subspecialty orthopaedic care to residents of Westchester and surrounding regions of New York.

Fredrick Jaffe MD, Adult Reconstruction/Joint Replacement
Dr. Jaffe is the Director of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Joint Replacement Center and the Chief of the Adult Reconstructive Division. His area of expertise includes both primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery. Dr Jaffe has also been involved in both design and development of currently used joint replacement implants.

Yong Kim, MD, Spine Surgery
Dr. Kim is a member of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Spine Surgery Division. He specializes in spinal surgery including reconstruction of the cervical and lumbar spine in adults. His clinical interests include pain management and minimally invasive spine surgery.

Michael Murray MD, Spine Surgery
Dr. Murray is a member of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Spine Surgery Division. He is committed to the highest quality care of patients with all types of spinal disorders including cervical and lumbar disease and scoliosis. His research experience and interests include motion preservation, minimally invasive spinal surgery, complex deformity correction, and scoliosis screening and outcomes.

David Pereira MD, Sports Medicine
Dr. Pereira is a member of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Sports Medicine Division. He specializes in all aspects of surgical and non-surgical sports medicine care. His clinical interests include minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgery and surgery of the knee, shoulder, and elbow.

Andrew Rokito MD, Sports Medicine/Shoulder & Elbow Surgery
Dr. Rokito is the Chief of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Division of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and Associate Director of the Division of Sports Medicine. He treats injuries and conditions involving the shoulder, knee, elbow and ankle. Dr. Rokito is also an expert in arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery.

Jeffrey Spivak MD, Spine Surgery
Dr. Spivak is the Director of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Spine Center. His practice focus is on the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders in adults and adolescents. Specific areas of interest are degenerative diseases of the back and neck including herniated discs and spinal stenosis, adult scoliosis and kyphosis, and fractures of the spine.

Stuart Springer MD, Sports Medicine
Dr. Springer is a member of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Sports Medicine Division. His clinical focus is the care and management of various problems and conditions of the knee, shoulder, ankle, elbow and hip. Dr Springer specializes in treating orthopaedic problems through minimally invasive arthroscopic methods.

Steven Struhl MD, General Orthopaedics/Sports Medicine
A member of the Adult Division at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, Dr. Struhl's clinical focus is to give patients with a wide range or orthopedic disorders the very best quality care– with particular expertise in problems of the shoulders and knees. Dr. Struhl also specializes in arthroscopic surgery and minimally invasive procedures.

Gerard Varlotta DO, Rehabilitation Medicine
Dr. Varlotta is member of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Rehabilitation Medicine Department. He is an expert on chronic pain, sports medicine care and injury prevention, conditions of the neck and back, rehabilitation of the hand, and arthritis. His medical interests also include ice hockey and in-line skating injuries.
