Department Welcomes New Faculty Member

The Department would like to welcome Dr. James Slover to the Adult Reconstructive Surgery Division. Dr. Slover graduated from the University of Notre Dame and, after serving in the United States Navy, attended the Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

Upon graduation, Dr. Slover completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He also earned a Master’s degree from the Dartmouth College Center for Evaluative Science, focusing his studies on healthcare economics and quality improvement, patient and surgical decision making, and patient outcome studies. He went on to complete his orthopaedic specialty fellowship training in adult reconstructive surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Slover will be a member of the Faculty Group Practice in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. His commitment will be to quality patient care and evidence-based practice. Dr. Slover's clinical focus will comprise all aspects of primary and revision hip and knee reconstruction, including minimally invasive techniques, unicondylar knee arthroplasty, hip resurfacing, hip and knee arthroscopy, and fracture surgery. He will reserve a portion of his practice for general orthopaedic surgery as well.
