Clinical Responsibilities
Dr. Murray is a board certified spine surgeon in the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases Department of Orthopaedic Surgery's Spine Surgery Division. He is committed to the highest quality care of patients with all types of spinal disorders including cervical and lumbar disease and scoliosis. His research experience and interests include motion preservation, minimally invasive spinal surgery, complex deformity correction, and scoliosis screening and outcomes. After completing his residency in orthopaedic surgery at St Vincent?s Medical Center, Dr Murray was mobilized as an orthopaedic surgeon for the 2nd Marine expeditionary Force for operation Enduring Freedom. After release from active duty he completed a spinal surgery fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco. He is active in the U S Navy reserve as a Commander. He is a member of two new faculty groups: Clinica Modelo in Washington Heights and Westchester Orthopaedic Specialists in White Plains, NY.
