The Occupational and Industrial Orthopaedic Center is a multidisciplinary center conducting research on the prevention and the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, ailments and injury.  The center is equipped to carry out experimental, methodological and clinical research. The multidisciplinary staff and faculty is represented by physicians, engineers, biomechanician, epidemiologists, psychologists, physical therapists, ergonomists and a network of national and international fellows and graduate students of  the NYU Program of Ergonomics and Biomechanics. The center focus on applied research, clinical outcomes studies and translational research from evidence to clinical practice.
