Lower Extremity Program

The OIOC treats lower extremity injuries of the foot, ankle, knee and hip. The physical therapy focuses on active functional exercises for the:

  • Improvement of function
  • Pain control
  • Muscle conditioning/and general physical fitness
  • Prevention of recurrence
  • Gait training
  • Education in body mechanics

The goal of the program is to “provide excellence in multidisciplinary evidence based care in a supportive and goal oriented environment; and to promote education for the treatment and prevention of work and non-work related lower extremity musculoskeletal disorders”
