The OIOC provides board certified specialty evaluation for musculoskeletal injuries and disorders through its on-site medical advisor, and its affiliations with the Spine Center at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases (HJD) a division of NYU Langone Medical Centers.

Jeffery Perry, DO,the Medical Advisor for the OIOC, is one of the many specialist physicians at the NYUHJD Spine Center. The Spine Center is an NYUHJD interdisciplinary Center of Excellence for the treatment of spinal pain. Spine Center physicians comprise a portion of OIOC's specialist network which encompasses physicians and healthcare providers who have a particular interest in occupational injuries, musculoskeletal disorders and the prevention of chronicity and disability.

The OIOC offers the highest quality service, evidence based practice and coordinated care to ensure effective and timely treatment that minimizes time away from work and prevents recurrence of injuries/disorders. To this end, the OIOC utilizes the Immediate Care Center of the Hospital for Joint Diseases, Emergency Rooms of the NYU Langone Medical Centers system, as well as the medical service expertise at the OIOC. Most importantly, throughout the process from injury to return to work the OIOC maintains and facilitates continuous communication between corporate medical departments and OIOC’s medical service providers. In addition, the OIOC also offers corporate on-site medical services tailored to the medical needs of the company.

To schedule a medical evaluation individuals can contact the OIOC or the Spine Center; when appropriate, referrals will be made for diagnostic procedures, specialist consultations, or physical therapy.
