The FCE conducted by the OIOC determines an individual's ability to perform physical work by conducting a performance evaluation that consists of 36 tasks that are designed to objectively describe a person's maximum capabilities in the following seven major areas:
• Dynamic Strength

• Mobility
• Coordination
• Fine Motor Skills
• Balance
• Endurance
The test may be administered in its entirety or individual tasks may be selected, depending upon the way in which test results are to be utilized. The OIOC is a licensed facility for the administration of Physical Work Perform Evaluations (PWPE). The PWPE is a Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) tool developed by Lechner etal, at the University of Alabama . The OIOC is a member of the ErgoScience Network which offers quality assurance protocols to ensure the validity of the reports. Consequently, the functional capacity results reported by the OIOC are user friendly, accurate and will stand up to the most stringent scrutiny.
