Reproductive Biology Research

Current research in the laboratory of Dr. Frederick Naftolin focuses on studying the potential effects of fetal growth during development on common adult diseases. An NIH grant has been awarded to advance these studies.

Part of this work, which explores the possible effects of maternal cigarette smoking, was presented in July 2007 at the 11th International Congress of Toxicology.

Interdisciplinary Program in Menopause Medicine

Dr. Frederick Naftolin and Dr. Lila Nachtigall, Co-Directors

This newly founded program is dedicated to exploring possible links between menopause and a variety of chronic diseases, including cancers, Alzheimer's disease, and diabetes.
