Letter of appreciation to attendees
Dear NYCFC supporters,
Thank you all for your generous support of the New York City Free Clinic (NYCFC), New York's only comprehensive free healthcare clinic for the uninsured. The NYCFC’s First Annual Stand-Up for Healthcare Access comedy benefit on February 23, 2006 was an overwhelming success.
Together, you raised $20,021, every cent of which will go directly to treat uninsured New Yorkers at the NYCFC. Thank you for truly making a difference in the lives of so many who too often face disparate access to healthcare.
That evening, 350 healthcare professionals, public health officials, and community members joined nine of America's top comedians to rally for one cause - serving New York's uninsured. The benefit was a victory in improving the health of our communities by providing equitable access to care for all, and a celebration of the strong partnership between the community and clinic.
The impact you have had will radiate in the lives of thousands of uninsured patients that receive care at the NYCFC. On behalf of all NYCFC volunteers and the communities we serve, thank you - for standing up for equitable healthcare access.
Most appreciatively,
The New York City Free Clinic
