Fundraising Benefit Auction raises $2,221 for free care for NY uninsured

NEW YORK — The New York City Free Clinic (NYCFC), New York's only comprehensive free healthcare clinic, held the first annual NYCFC Fundraising Benefit Auction on October 17 at Bar 515 in Manhattan. The benefit raised raised $2,221. All money raised goes directly to free care for New York's uninsured at the NYCFC.
In all, more than 125 community members turned out to show their support for the NYCFC mission of providing free care for the uninsured, homeless, and disenfranchised of New York.
Among the items auctioned were 2 pairs of Broadway show tickets and dinners at 14 prominent downtown Manhattan restaurants.
A number of community businesses and organizations generously sponsored the event, including: Bar 515, Barbe's, Chat N Chew, City Crab, De Marco's Pizzeria, Focacceria, Houston's, Kelly & Ping, L'Express, Le Petite Abeille, Pete's Place, Novita, NYU School of Medicine, Republic, Spice, and Villa Mosconi.
