• 35 bed medical unit
• 27 general beds
• 4 Respiratory Step Down Unit beds
• 4 Respiratory Progressive Care Unit beds
• 2 negative pressure rooms
• Primary patient population consists of adults and geriatrics including but not limited to:
• Pneumonia
• Heart Failure
• Diabetes
• Renal Failure
• GI Disorders
• Rheumatological Disorders
• Care is focused on the management of patients in  promoting wellness and comfort
• Family involvement an in integral part of care
• Evidence based practice
• As a 17 West staff member, you will become part of the interdisciplinary team, collaborating closely with:
• Nursing Management

• Medical Housestaff
• Medical Attending Physicians
