Tuition REMISSION Program for Registered Nurses
- Full-time Registered Nurses, with six months of service, working in a position that requires an RN license, and matriculated in an approved Nursing undergraduate or graduate degree programs at NYU College of Nursing can receive full Tuition Remission for up to a maximum of eight credits for each of three semesters per year.
- Full-time Registered Nurses with six months of service, working in a position that requires an RN license, and matriculated in Advanced Practice Nursing Degree Programs at NYU College of Nursing and having reached the clinical practicum portion of the program can transfer to a part-time schedule and receive Tuition Remission Benefits. The amount of the benefits will be pro-rated based on the nurse’s part-time base hours.
- The benefit can be applied to tuition only.
- Staff employed in temporary positions are not eligible for tuition assistance.
- No work/payback agreement is required.
Tuition REIMBURSEMENT Program for Registered Nurses
- Full-time Registered Nurses with six months of service can receive up to $5,000 in Tuition Reimbursement benefits per calendar year toward Nursing courses or a degree in Nursing at any accredited institution. For degrees related to advancement in healthcare which are not in Nursing, $2,400 is available.
- Part-time Registered Nurses in the Weekend Bonus Program with six months of service can receive up to $2,400 in Tuition Reimbursement benefits per calendar year toward Nursing courses and Nursing degrees at any accredited institution.
- The benefits can be applied to tuition, registration fees, lab fees and books.
- Staff employed in temporary positions are not eligible for tuition assistance.
- No work/payback agreement is required.
- Federal regulations requiring taxation of education benefits apply to both Tuition Remission and Tuition Reimbursement.
